Spread Love And Kindness

My name is Abigail Gao. Last year I started a mini project named Compliment Chains to promote kindness. Friends in my school celebrate each other’s positive characteristics by creating paper loops with compliments.

Since then, I wanted to create something similar but sturdier. I tried contacting a wristband company and another supplier, but unfortunately, I never received a reply.

To spread kindness and love beyond schools and communities to the wider world, I've designed a mascot named Earth Baby. It holds a chrysanthemum symbolizing friendship and promoting unity.

In the future, I plan to create more Earth Babies with different flowers representing specific virtues like courage, perseverance, and compassion.

It’s a doll that we can give to our friends to honor their virtue, and hopefully the receivers will do the same and pass on the chain effect.

With"Synergize" in mind

I was wondering whom I should partner with to produce the Earth Babies. The global leaders at the United Nations have adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to create a better world by 2030. This inspired me to support vulnerable groups and achieve the following SDGs:

  • No Poverty
  • Zero Hunger
  • Good Health and Well-Being
  • Quality Education
  • Decent Work and Economic Growth
  • Reduced Inequalities
  • Partnerships for the Goals (Unite!)

I am so blessed to connect with Jiaojiao Xian, a courageous lady with spinal cordinjury who continues to shine after a car accident. She dedicates her time encouraging and helping the poor and people with impairment.

Her team helped bring my handcrafted Earth Baby to life. Your support in this fundraising event helps provide an additional income source for these beautiful individuals who also work hard to make a positive impact in our world.

All proceeds and supplementary donations will be directed to St. Peter's Primary School in Mukozi, Uganda. A contribution of $50 can fund a student's meals, including breakfast and lunch, for an entire trimester (3 months). Moreover, local volunteers in Mukozi are undertaking initiatives to construct additional classrooms. The school largely relies on international donations for funding.

I hope you can join me in spreading love, promoting leadership, and supporting the SDGs. Together we can create a better world!
